Four regular sessions a week at the Maufant Variety Youth Centre, plus a full holiday programme. All sessions are free for young people aged 9–18.
No membership fee and no booking for weekly sessions — just come along. Under-13s are signed in and out by a parent or carer on their first visit.
A relaxed after-school session built around play: table games, craft, cooking simple things, and short team challenges. Two adult volunteers on duty at all times.
Music, sport, cooking and group decision-making. Seniors help plan the term's programme and are the ones who represent the Project at Island-wide youth events.
For members who want to change something: campaign planning, social action projects, and preparing what to say to parish and Island decision-makers.
Open club night. All age groups together, come as you are, bring a friend, stay for as long as you like. The busiest night of the week.
When the schools close, the Project stays open. The holiday programme is the single biggest cost we carry all year — and entirely donation-funded.
Because trips are funded by donations, places are capped and allocated by booking. Priority is given to members who attend regularly and to families for whom the school holidays are the hardest weeks of the year.
Ask About Holiday PlacesFree to every member. The average trip costs the Project around £250 per young person in transport, food and staffing.
A parent or carer signs in under-13s on the first visit and leaves an emergency contact.
You'll be introduced to the volunteers running the session — the same faces week to week.
No pressure to take part in everything. Members choose what they do, and quiet corners are always available.
Food is provided at every session. Members leave at the session end time unless a carer has agreed otherwise.
Have a question about a specific young person's needs? Talk to us before their first session.
